Schoonhoven, NV, Plateelfabriek

The moulds of De Rozeboom moved from Den Haag to Plateelfabriek/Pottery factory Schoonhoven,  with contemporary plateel/pottery decorations, which were used for 2/3 years. Mark/backstamp see picture.

Diffrent striking decors, like the famous Corel in lilac, yellow and blue, also Luna, Drian, Aida, Gooi, Roer, Largo en Jeno. After 1929 designed Van Katwijk for Schoonhoven vases and plates in a hard line style. Next to decorative art pottery, lots of occasional ceramics were produced, like figures/sculptures of  Jan Schonk. With Terralith ( = baked once and with sprayed lacquer pottery)  Schoonhoven survived the crisis years.

Nowadays Schoonhoven executes art of Escher & Jan Snoeck.

J.T. Schonk, F. van Katwijk
