Potter Pieter Groeneveldt made oriental inspired decorative art pottery, ceramic pieces of art for every home. Mark/backstamp Made in Holland, kroon over PG.

Pieter Groeneveldt had since 1925 his own workshop in Wassenaar, before 1925 his pottery items were baked at Fayencebakkerij Amphora, he started in 1938 with Pottery Factory Groeneveldt with functional & aesthetical shaped florist's items. Only glazed ceramics inspired at the Japanese and Chinese culture, other kind of decoration would detract from the flowing shapes.

Travertijn-pottery, this method gives plates and vases a bark/rind of birch tree decoration. Member of the Dutch Guild of Art in Industry (1924) to promote ans stimulate each others quality products.
