Frederik Regout' kitchenware pottery, was in competition with other Regout familymembers and created confusion by marking his ceramics with a lying lion/elephant in stead of the sphinx and the P was replaced by a F. In 1896 the Frederik Regout Firm merged into CV Petrus Regout & Co..
