Societe Ceramique mass production of simple dinner/hollow-ware pottery & decorative ceramics in Maastricht. Mark/backstamp: Société Céramique Maestricht, Jumping lion to the left, Made in Holland, followed by decor name.

Decorated with stylized motifs and figures, like plants and animals on pottery inspired by the french Art Deco. Daily use pottery, Folk Art flower pattern & traditional printed decors and commomerative/occasional ceramics by Société Céramique.

In 1850 the company name was Firma Clermont en Chainaye, in 1859 converted into Firma Guillaume Lambert and between 1863-1958 Société Céramique. By continuation this factory under different names, some decors & decor names resembles, like Willow and Oriental. Merger with De Sphinx in 1958, NV Sphinx-Céramique.
