Sphinx-Céramique NV
Sphinx-Ceramique, mass production of sanitary and tiles. Received the title Royal/Koninklijk 1959 in honour of the 125 year existence of this pottery factory, named than NV Koninklijke Sphinx. Hotel porcelain dinnerware Hilton designed for the Hilton Hotel Amsterdam in 1962. Take over Pottery Factory de Toekomst in 1960. In 1969 she closed down her kitchenware and hotel porcelain department. Mark/backstamp: Royal Sphinx Maastricht Made in Holland.
The first public urinal for women was produced by Sphinx geproduceerd 1999. The Maastricht' pottery factory archives of the Sphinx and Société Céramique can be consulted at the Social Historical Centre of Limburg.
